GRAHAM STARMER | MANAGING DIRECTOR

One of the founders and directors of footballcv.com since its inception in 2000 and has been instrumental in the company establishing itself as the UK’s market leader in organising football trials and setting up the first private football academy. Having worked in football for over 15 years became Vice-Chairman of Corby Town Football Club in 2011. Also Managing Director of Burndine Sales and Services, a family business whose main activity is business and management consultancy and is also involved in property management and investment.

MARTIN HARRIS | ACADEMY DIRECTOR

Martin joined in 2007 as Administrator and has risen to become Academy Director in five years.

Martin started his coaching career at a local junior team managing and coaching youth teams at most age groups before moving onto work at Kettering Town FC. During his nine seasons at Kettering, he has worked with age groups from U10's up to and including the U18's. Whilst at the club he was Assistant Development Officer, overseeing the U12's to the U16's. Martin then moved on to work within the backroom staff for the Senior Team at Kettering Town, working with the likes of Paul Gascoigne, Paul Davies and Ron Atkinson. In 2005 Martin flew to American and spent a period of time coaching in Chicago, Detriot, Indianapolis and Milwaukee. He too holds an FA Coaching Certificate,Child Protection Certificate and CRB check.

In 2011 Martin became Football Operations Director of Conference North Corby Town.

IAN SAMPSON | HEAD COACH

Ian Sampson, who led Northampton Town to their famous Carling Cup victory away at Liverpool in 2010, joined as Head Coach in July 2012. Sampson ‘s playing career included spells at Sunderland, Spurs and then 449 games for Northampton Town.

As manager of the ‘Cobblers’ in the Second Division from 2009 – 2011 he took a young squad to 11th position and introduced young players such as Michael Jacobs who has since moved to Derby County. Previous to this from 2004 he was Head of Youth and Assistant Manager before landing the First Team Manager’s position.

His tenure included picking up the ‘Manager of the Month’ award in February 2010 and leading the club to their most famous victory in their history when they knocked out Liverpool at Anfield after a tense penalty shoot-out.

WAYNE HATSWELL | COACH

Wayne has been a professional footballer for 13 years. His previous clubs include; Oxford United, Dundalk (Assistant Manager), Cambridge United, Newport County (Player/Coach), Rushden & Diamonds, Kidderminster Harriers, Chester City and Forest Green Rovers. Wayne had the honour to captain the England ‘C’ Team to victory in the Four Nations Tournament hosted in Wales in May 2008.

Wayne is a UEFA A-Licence qualified Coach and possesses his Level 2 ‘Coach Educator’ award. He is also a member of the FA Licensed Coaches Club holding certificates in first aid and safeguarding children as well as an enhanced CRB disclosure. With many years of Youth/Development Squad experience he has also coached at Arsenal Soccer Schools to children aged 5-15 years as well as overseeing the development of the Soccer School in the Wiltshire area.

ANDY SINTON | FOOTBALL CONSULTANT

Andy Sinton joined the FootballCV Academy in the capacity of ‘football consultant’ in the summer of 2009.

Andy was spotted playing at school by professional football club scouts whilst also playing for boys club Cramlington Juniors. He was signed by Brentford F.C in 1985 for £25,000 and later was signed for QPR by Trevor Francis in 1989 for £350,000 and went on to play 160 league games scoring 22 goals. Andy also played for Sheffield Wednesday and Tottenham Hotspur.

Andy won 12 England caps and once gave up the chance to join Arsenal.

Andy is currently First Team Manager of AFC Telford in the Conference North and will be visiting the FootballCV Academy throughout the season to coach the players and pass on advice and experience he gained as a top-level player.

CHRIS PALMER | COACH & PHYSIOTHERAPIST

A qualified Sports Therapist and Sports Masseur, having trained at the 'Medical Centre of Excellence' at Lilleshall before going on to gain a degree in 'Sports Therapist' at Salford University. He has worked in the sports injury/rehabilitation departments at a number of both professional and semi-professional football clubs, such as Cambridge City, Luton Town, Norwich City, Kettering Town, Rushden & Diamonds and Spalding United. During 2012, Chris was fortunate to be selected as part of a team of therapist for the London Olympic Games and is now looking forward to working at the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

Chris is also a qualified football coach, having achieved his UEFA 'B' licence coaching badge in the summer of 2010.

CAROL HOLLAND | SPORTS THERAPIST

Carol is a qualified sports therapist, who is currently in her final year of studying for a Masters Degree in Football Rehabilitation at Edgehill University. In the summer of 2012, she become Head Therapist at St Neots Town FC, who compete in the Evo Stik Premier League. Having previously worked at Deeping Rangers FC and Blackstones FC, Carol was invited to act as physio for the Legends Tournament, featuring Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Fulham last season.

Carol is also a lecturer for the FA and teaches First Aid and Treatment and Management of Injury courses.

IAN PLEDGER | GOALKEEPING COACH

Ian started playing in goal at an early age and represented his County at every age group from the age of 8 until the age of 16 years old. Ian impressed that much that Luton Town FC (Then in the old 1st Division) offered him a 3 year contract. However a badly broken leg sadly finished his professional career before it really began. Ian has since played for some of the biggest semi-professional clubs in his area that include, Stamford town, Spalding united, Wisbech Town and Corby town.

Two years ago he retired to become assistant manager at Stamford in the Unibond league, and then followed the manager the following season to become assistant manager at Quorn Town also in the Northern League. Ian now works at Championship side Peterborough United, on a full time basis, helping to develop both the first team and youth team goalkeepers.

As a coach he holds the FA Coaching and Goalkeeper Coaching Level 2 Awards, alongside the Youth Module Level 3. He is currently working towards his FA Goalkeeper UEFA B Award, which he hopes to complete by the end of this season.

JOE ENGLAND | ACADEMY ADMINISTRATOR

Joe joined FootballCV in August 2012. Having a background in playing football from a young age, he has recently started coaching youth football locally. After working for a major outdoor and adventure company in 2009, He went on to complete a National Diploma in Sports Coaching, Fitness and Development, at Northampton College.

He also holds a current lifeguard qualification which brings along experience with first aid.

MPUMI NYEMBE | MATCH ANALYST

Mpumi joined the FootballCV Academy in August 2012, as a match anyalist, providing support and information to the Academy coaching staff. Alongside filming match day footage, Mpumi is able to provide individual technical and team reports, which is a vital tool in each player’s development. As well as holding an FA Level One coaching badge, Mpumi is currently undertaking a foundation degree in Sports Coaching and Performance, which is being taken at Moulton College in Northampton.

During his spare time, he coaches a local U11’s team in Northampton.

ANN DYTE | RESIDENTIAL MANAGER

Ann joined the academy in the summer of 2009 and has been involved with sport for most her life having played County Netball and was Captain of Northants Ladies & Girls Tennis Squads.

Football has always been a major part of Ann and her family’s life and supports Chelsea!

The past 20 years she has worked within the Criminal Justice system as Manager of the Enforcement team, trained as a Drug & Alcohol Abuse counsellor for CAN, and been Chairman of the Youth Offending team Panels. Ann also has an accounting background having been the Treasurer of a National Trade Union (PCS) and holds a full CRB check and has worked with young people for most of her adult life.

MICK DYTE | RESIDENTIAL HEAD WARDEN

Mick has worked for the academy at the residential lodge since 2008 and also runs his own driving school practice.

Mick played for Rushden and was both a player and manager of Wellingborough Town at Southern League level and supports Blackpool!

PIERS THORNYCROFT | ACADEMY CHEF

Piers heads a team of talented nutritional experts, recruited specifically to cater for the wide variety of dietary requirements at the FootballCV Academy. With each member of staff either possessing or working towards the city and guilds highest level in food hygiene and catering qualification, his company have been based in Northamptonshire for the last nine years.

Piers and his wife Jemma also run a retail fine food delicatessen, and have produced food for clients such as Santander, HSBC, Kettering General Hospital and Glasgow Rangers.

PAUL FROST | CLUB CHAPLAIN

Paul is a vicar in Corby who enjoys combining his passions of faith and football. He has degrees from Sheffield and Oxford Universities and originally trained and worked as a teacher. He has also been a youth worker and a chaplain at Moulton College, Northamptonshire. Paul is an ordained minister in the Church of England, a member of Sports Chaplaincy UK and a life-long Liverpool supporter.
