Course on offer to Academy members

The course year would commence on September 3rd 2007 and finish on May 23rd 2008. The course on offer is: BTEC National in Sport – Level 3 Certificate. This is a two year course requiring 12 hours per week and is the equivalent to 2 A levels.

Enrichment for All Students

In-lesson support to encourage and enable all students to reach their full potential. Many students with learning difficulties are assigned to a key worker who will help them to achieve their individual learning targets.

We have regular contact with appropriate outside agencies to advise on strategies to help with hearing, visual or physical support programmes. We have a trained team of learning support assistants to enable all students to participate in the school curriculum.

Please note:

• You may be required to attend some days at college to sit exams or extra study periods. These will be confirmed in due course.
• Any student wishing to stay out of term time would have to arrange accommodation themselves at either the Frontier Centre or elsewhere.
• All transport to and from the Academy to College will be provided for the required college days.
